The fifth "2023 Peak Guizhou" International Vertical Marathon – authorized as TWA60 level by the Towerrunning World Association – was held in Guiyang on Sept 23.
Guiyang shared the process of treating the Nanming River, providing a model for river governance in other provinces and cities.
The air quality assessment results for August in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, were released on Sept 12, and Wudang district was the best performer in the city.
Guiyang was also urged to overcome the pain points encountered in terms of solid waste management, promote the "zero- waste" concept, and create a new image of Guiyang as a zero-waste city.
Guiyang clinched first prize in the "Award of Public Participation of Household Waste Classification" category.
A public welfare activity in Guiyang dubbed "Exploring Green Mysteries – Ecology and Environment and Health" was held at Guiyang Ecological Science Museum and Huaxi National Urban Wetland Park on Aug 17.
