June 5 marks World Environment Day, and this year's theme is "building modernization in harmony between man and nature."

This month, Guizhou province and Guiyang city will carry out a series of themed activities on ecology and the environment, so that the concept of a low-carbon life and greater awareness of ecological civilization is deeply rooted in the heart of every resident.

The activities include Guiyang biodiversity achievement exhibitions, "harmonious coexistence of man and nature" creative exhibitions, recycling activities, and environmental protection concerts.

Guizhou province is an important ecological security barrier in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and the Zhujiang River, and is one of the first national ecological civilization pilot zones.

Guizhou's incredible ecological environment serves as its biggest advantage in terms of development and competitive strength. For the past three years, Guizhou has been graded excellent in assessments of how effective it is in terms of national pollution prevention and control.
