Guiyang to add new pocket park soon

Guiyang city is about to welcome another new pocket park in its Guanshanhu district. Named Yuyue Park, it is currently under intensive construction, with its basic layout already visible. The park is expected to make its beautiful debut in mid-November and will be open to the public free of charge.

For nearby residents, the vision of "see green from your window and step into a park just outside your door" will soon become a reality, promising an enhanced sense of wellbeing.

The park's site was selected after comprehensive consideration of factors such as public transportation connectivity, convenience to residential area entrances, and proximity to schools, supermarkets, and other gathering spots. The project aims to fill the gap in pocket park coverage in the northern part of Guanshanhu district, further integrating green spaces into residents' daily lives and making it easier for people to connect with nature.

Though compact, with a construction area of approximately 4,600 square meters, the park is thoughtfully designed. It will feature themed landscape walls, optimized plant arrangements, a circular path system, and barrier-free access. A rest area will also be set up near the residential entrance, creating a functional and aesthetically pleasing public green space.

Upon its opening, the park will become another free destination for leisurely walks, relaxation and fostering community bonds in Guanshanhu, adding a vibrant touch to Guiyang's seasonal landscape.

As one of Guanshanhu's ongoing public welfare projects to expand pocket parks, Yuyue Park will further improve the quality of life in the area. It is set to become a "new green landmark" showcasing the ecological charm of the district and strengthening residents' life satisfaction.
