The Eco Forum Global Guiyang 2025 was held in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, from July 5 to 6. The forum featured 20 sessions on various topics, alongside exhibitions, off-site visits, and green investment promotions. It welcomed guests from international organizations, governments, and industries to jointly explore sustainable development pathways.

Now in its 12th edition, the forum has become a vital platform for global dialogue on ecological civilization. This year, it achieved notable breakthroughs: stronger international participation, with 11 forums involving international organizations and four independently hosted; deeper commitment to green practices, including carbon neutrality through offset mechanisms; increased market engagement via service partnerships; and enhanced outcomes such as flagship reports and green industry matchmaking.

Alongside this global dialogue, Guizhou continues to lead with concrete actions. The province is advancing land-use planning and green industrial reform through initiatives like its "Peak Carbon 10 Actions" and the "Electric Guizhou" campaign. Green industries now account for approximately 48 percent of the economy, with digital growth ranking among the top in China for nine consecutive years.

Additionally, Guizhou has launched targeted campaigns in air, water, and soil management, with two groundwater remediation projects recognized as national best practices. Phosphogypsum reuse, solid waste governance, and biodiversity conservation efforts have placed the province at the national forefront of such efforts.
