Raorao village, located in Gaopo township, Huaxi district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is the only Bouyei ethnic village in the area.

The village boasts diverse landscapes such as terraced fields, deep canyons, and a cluster of caves. The expansive terraced fields, dominated by red rice, transform into a stunning "sea of rice" during spring, summer, and autumn, making for a captivating sight.

Another breathtaking highlight of Raorao village is the Hongyan Canyon. Here, the red rocks, shaped over millions of years by the forces of wind and rain, create a vivid and colorful landscape.

The hospitality of the Raorao people further enriches the experience. When guests arrive, they will be warmly welcomed at the village gate with traditional songs and wine. In this authentic Bouyei village, visitors can savor local delicacies such as red rice, glutinous rice wine, pickled cabbage and kidney bean soup, and blood tofu.

Relying on its terraced landscapes, canyon vistas, and ethnic charm, Raorao village is developing its tourism infrastructure and services to attract more visitors. It offers a peaceful escape where travelers can unwind and immerse themselves in the natural beauty and tranquility.
