The Most Beautiful Villages Branch of the China Tourism Association held its second members' conference and the High-Quality Development Forum for Villages on Dec 13 in Beijing. During the event, a grand ceremony was held to award the title of "The Most Beautiful Villages".
With a history of over 600 years and recognition as a national 5A-level scenic area, Qingyan Ancient Town was selected by the China Tourism Association as one of the first batch of "Most Beautiful Villages".
Qingyan Ancient Town is located in the southern part of Huaxi district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province. In September 2005, the Ministry of Construction, now known as the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and the National Cultural Heritage Administration designated it as one of China's second batch of historical and cultural towns. In February 2017, it earned the prestigious designation of a national 5A-level scenic area, becoming Guiyang's first tourist site to achieve this honor.
With its deep historical roots, Qingyan Ancient Town continues to thrive, offering visitors timeless charm that will only grow more enchanting.
