Guiyang high-tech development zone achieves remarkable air quality control

On Aug 13, the Guiyang bureau of ecology and environment announced the July air quality rankings. The rankings include the comprehensive air quality index for each Guiyang city district, county, and development zone.

In July, the proportion of days with good ambient air quality in Guiyang reached 100 percent, with the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone ranking first.

According to national standards, good ambient air quality refers to an air pollution index of greater than 50 and less than or equal to 100.

The comprehensive air quality index ranking for July in Guiyang, from highest to lowest, is as follows:  Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Wudang district/Baiyun district (tie), Yunyan district/Qingzhen city (tie), Huaxi district/Guanshanhu district/Kaiyang county (tie), Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone, Nanming district/Guiyang Free Trade Zone (tie), Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone, Xifeng county, Xiuwen county.

From January to July, the proportion of days with good ambient air quality was 99.5 percent, an increase of 0.4 percent compared to last year.
