In July of this year, the Guiyang bureau of ecology and environment held a series of "zero-waste city" activities in communities.

The "zero-waste city" is an urban development model that minimizes the environmental impact of solid waste by promoting green development and lifestyles, continuously reducing solid waste at the source and enhancing resource utilization. It is an advanced urban management concept.

At the event, community residents exchanged plastic bottles from their daily lives for bottled water of equivalent value. People also practiced low-carbon living by participating in a book exchange to circulate their unused old books.

A creative plant-painting activity was also held on-site. Residents used their imaginations and creativity to paint canvases with natural dyes, transforming them into beautiful artworks.

This event conveyed the "zero-waste city" concept to residents, encouraging everyone to contribute to the development of a "zero-waste city", starting with their daily lives.
