Air quality in Guiyang reaches new highs

On July 15, the Guiyang bureau of ecology and environment reported that in June, the proportion of days with good ambient air quality in Guiyang reached 100 percent.

From January to June, the proportion of days with good ambient air quality in Guiyang was 99.5 percent, marking a year-on-year increase of 0.6 percentage points.

The term good ambient air quality refers to an air pollution index that is greater than 50 and less than or equal to 100, according to national standards.

Based on the "Technical Regulations for Ranking Urban Environmental Air Quality", the comprehensive air quality index ranking for June in Guiyang is as follows, from highest to lowest: Wudang district, Kaiyang county, Qingzhen city, Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Guanshanhu district, Huaxi district, Yunyan district, Baiyun district, Nanming district/Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone (tie), Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone, Xiuwen county, Guiyang Free Trade Zone, and Xifeng county.
