The Technical Seminar of the Guiyang Soil Ecological Environment Protection Expert Workstation was held in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on June 12.
The seminar focused on topics such as heavy metal pollution prevention and ecological restoration techniques in mining areas, soil investigation technical specifications, soil pollution remediation technologies, and emergency groundwater treatment cases. The aim was to further strengthen protection of the soil ecological environment in Guiyang.
Experts at the seminar shared the latest technological achievements in protecting the soil ecological environment and delved into the application and development of environmental protection technologies in soil environment management, mine and soil ecological restoration, soil environment monitoring, and soil and groundwater environment risk management and emergency response. They proposed work ideas and methods that could be referenced.
Additionally, the seminar included discussions on the construction of a soil environment monitoring network and soil pollution prevention policies in Guizhou province, as well as collaborative research on soil and groundwater pollution control in Guiyang.
