Guanshanhu launches ecological season

Guanshanhu district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, launched its ecological season on June 15, inviting everyone to experience the charm of nature together.

The season, which consists of a series of ecology-related events, aims to steadily improve the quality of the ecological environment while enhancing the public's ecological awareness, supporting the high-quality development of an ecological civilization.

This year marks the third consecutive year that Guanshanhu has held the ecological season.

Under the careful guidance of ecological and environmental protection departments at the provincial and municipal levels, Guanshanhu has established a sound mechanism for ecological civilization construction, implemented pollution prevention and control systems, enriched greenways and green ecological supplies, and promoted the transformation and development of green industries, achieving commendable results.

The district is home to the only ecological civilization exhibition hall in the province, which has been warmly welcomed by the public, particularly after the introduction of the ecological season. 

During the launch ceremony, videos showcasing Guanshanhu's ecological environment quality in 2023 were shown, and the three major activities of the 2024 ecological season were unveiled on-site. Additionally, the unveiling ceremony for the "Guizhou Ecological Environment Protection Nature School" was held.

Renowned pianist Shi Shucheng performed a piano solo live, allowing attendees to appreciate the fusion of music and nature amidst the picturesque scenery. The launch ceremony also marked the official start of the Guizhou division of the "Feitian Yellow River Music Awards" competition.

The ecological season will last from June to August.
