Guiyang's bureau leads way in eco-awareness

To help deeply entrench the concept of green development, Guiyang – capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – held the 2024 World Environment Day themed promotion on June 2 at the Guiyang Ecological Science Museum.

Hosted by the Guiyang bureau of ecology and environment, the event aimed to boost public environmental awareness through diverse activities, encouraging more people to adopt low-carbon lifestyles.

The day began with the appointment ceremony for the Guiyang Ecological Science Museum Volunteer Guides.

After a rigorous selection and evaluation process, a group of outstanding guides was officially appointed. They will be dedicated to promoting Guiyang's ecological and environmental stories to the public and tourists.

The ceremony was said to not only inject new vitality into the Guiyang Ecological Science Museum, but also marked a significant step towards building a high-level volunteer guide service brand.

At the event, in collaboration with various organizations, the bureau also hosted a series of exciting environmental-themed activities. Through garbage sorting games and other things, the bureau further promoted low-carbon concepts and publicized low carbon know-how to the public.
