A series of events celebrating Guizhou Province and Guiyang City's National Low-Carbon Day kicked off at the Guizhou Provincial Geological Museum on May 15.
The series includes low-carbon-themed science activities, a youth debate competition on ecological environment topics, and low-carbon promotion events at enterprises.
Additionally, the Guizhou Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment and the Guiyang bureau of ecology and environment, in collaboration with the Guizhou Science and Technology Museum, launched a call for entries for an exhibition of environmental and ecological geology. The exhibition seeks innovative and creative works from the public related to environmental protection.
Guiyang was the only provincial capital city to be recognized as a National Ecological Civilization Construction Demonstration Zone in China in 2023. Furthermore, Guiyang received an excellent rating in the progress evaluation of National Low-Carbon Pilot Cities organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment.
Moving forward, Guiyang will continue to develop a green, low-carbon ecological economy.
