Guiyang and Gui'an devoted to water conservation

The launch ceremony for the 2024 Water Conservation Awareness Week of Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area was held at Guizhou Normal University in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on May 11.

During the ceremony, the 2024 water conservation video and public service advertisement for Guiyang and Gui'an were released.

Awards were presented to representatives from 54 units and enterprises, including Guizhou Tyre Co and Guizhou Communications Polytechnic, which were honored with the titles of "Guizhou Provincial Water Conservation Benchmark", "Guizhou Provincial Water Conservation Entity", and "Guizhou Provincial Water Conservation Education Base" for 2023.

During the event, over 10 units, including the Guiyang Water Environment Group, the China Water Environment Group's Guizhou Branch, the Guiyang Water Environment Science Museum, and the Guiyang Water Conservation Association, set up booths to showcase cutting-edge water conservation technologies, products, and equipment, promoting advanced cultural concepts related to water conservation.

In recent years, Guiyang and Gui'an have been committed to implementing water conservation initiatives, and became the first city in the province to be designated a national water-saving city in 2011.
