Guiyang recently completed its air quality assessment for March, with the air situation in 14 districts, counties, and development zones being rated as good, and Guanshanhu district receiving the highest rating.

The rankings are as follows, from best to worst: Guanshanhu district, Qingzhen city, Wudang district, Huaxi district, Yunyan district/Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (tie), Baiyun district, Nanming district/Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (tie), Kaiyang county, Guiyang Free Trade Zone, Xifeng county, Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone, and Xiuwen county.
All districts, zones and counties in Guiyang enjoyed good air quality every day in March, and the city's comprehensive air quality index ranged from 2.52 to 3.16, depending on the area.
Good ambient air quality refers to an air pollution index which is greater than 50 and less than or equal to 100, according to national standards.
