Zero-waste city construction in Guiyang climbs to new level

The Guiyang Zero-waste Office held a diverse range of activities themed around the "zero-waste city" concept on March 29 in the Liyang Tianxia Community of Guanshanhu district, Guiyang city.

The event employed various forms to promote and explain the concept, content, and measures that are of significant importance in "zero-waste city" construction efforts.

The activities provided detailed explanations on daily resource conservation, garbage classification, and plastic product usage, encouraging residents to actively participate in the creation of a zero-waste city.

During the event, Guizhou Tianzhiyuan Environmental Protection Technology Co signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation with the Guiyang Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital. This marks the first interconnection between "zero-waste entities" in the city.

It is reported that in 2022, Guiyang officially initiated the construction of the "zero-waste city", with the creation period spanning from 2022 to 2025.

As of 2023, Guiyang has established 352 "zero-waste entities", including 27 zero-waste factories, 28 zero-waste hospitals, 10 zero-waste schools, 10 zero-waste villages, 10 zero-waste hotels, 5 zero-waste scenic areas, 16 zero-waste communities, 12 zero-waste shopping malls, and 234 zero-waste government agencies.
