Guiyang to promote water conservation

The 32nd "World Water Day" and the first day of the 37th "China Water Week" were observed on March 22, both focusing on the theme of water conservation.

Guiyang city has been committed to implementing water-saving measures to promote sustainable urban development. This year, the city plans to continue promoting various water-saving initiatives.

The city has formulated the "Gui'an New Area Water Conservation Plan" and held the Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area Water Conservation and Protection Work Meeting, which has assisted over 90 relevant government and enterprise units in their water conservation efforts.

The city will further advance water conservation efforts in its counties, overseeing initiatives in Huaixi district, Kaiyang county, and Xiuwen county. Guiyang has also developed the "Water Conservation Plan for Universities in Guiyang and Gui'an" which relates to 35 universities in the two regions.
