In recent years, Guiyang city has taken advantage of the development of big data and actively promoted the development of an information monitoring network to help protect the environment.

Establish monitoring system to grasp dynamic environmental quality in various regions

To date, a total of 278 automatic environmental quality monitoring stations have been established in Guiyang, covering all districts in the city. They monitor things such as air, water, noise, and radiation.

This has allowed for timely warnings and helped accelerate pollution control among Kaiyang county's phosphorus chemical enterprises. Eight emergency controls have been implemented effectively to mitigate potential air pollution issues.

Improve remote online monitoring to control industrial emissions

Over 4,000 sets of online monitoring equipment have been deployed across 480 discharge outlets of 252 key pollution source enterprises in the city, ensuring stable compliance with emissions standards.

Additionally, 22 sets of remote sensing monitoring terminals have been installed on main urban roads to catch heavily polluting vehicles emitting black smoke. Nearly 1,000 related issues have been solved so far with the help of the terminals.

Focus on disposal of hazardous waste

A total of 4,137 medical institutions and 2,088 units dealing with waste lead-acid batteries and used engine oil are currently included in the city's information supervision system. This system ensures traceability throughout the entire process of production, collection, storage, transportation, and disposal.
