Guiyang's Aha Lake National Wetland Park was recently named a National Forestry and Grassland Science Popularization Base by the National Forestry and Grassland Administration and the Ministry of Science and Technology, making it the only unit in Southwest China's Guizhou province to receive this honor.
A National Forestry and Grassland Popular Science Base is an important location that utilizes forest, wetland, wildlife, and other forestry and grassland resources to conduct natural education and ecological experience activities, showcase achievements in forestry and grassland science and ecological civilization practices, and create science popularization works.
Guiyang Aha Lake National Wetland Park is Guiyang's first national wetland park, covering a total area of over 1,024 hectares. Located in the main urban area, it enjoys a unique geographical location and is hailed as a "life paradise" for urban wildlife.
The park holds over 260 forestry science education courses and environmental protection activities every year.
After being named a national base, the park will continue to enhance its popular science and education service capabilities, contributing to the advancement of ecological civilization construction.
