Pollution control of Nanming River selected as national demonstration project

In October 2022, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment issued the Notice on Promoting the Implementation of Major Projects in the field of Ecology and Environment, incentivizing some provinces and cities across the country to implement a number of projects, including the pollution control project of the Nanming River in Guiyang.

In order to strengthen exchanges between all local projects, the ministry has selected a number of outstanding projects from each project location.

The demonstration projects have been successively announced by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment since Sept 12.

Since the implementation of the ecological governance project in Guiyang, in addition to the Nanming River project, the comprehensive regulation of watersheds in karst areas has been summarized.

On Sept 13, after the announcement of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Guiyang shared the process of treating the Nanming River, providing a model for river governance in other provinces and cities.
