Guiyang, Guian carry out 'water-saving week'

The Guiyang and Guian New Area Water-Saving Week launched on May 14 in Aha Lake National Wetland Park in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

During the May 14-20 event, Guiyang will launch a series of promotional activities to raise residents' awareness of the importance of saving water.

On the opening day, Guiyang released a promotional video called Civilized New Trend. It also awarded certificates to a batch of businesses and units including Guizhou Provincial People's Hospital and Nanming District People's Government Service Center, which won the 2022 Provincial Water-saving Benchmark and Provincial Water-saving Carrier awards, respectively.

Guiyang also awarded flags of honor to 35 water-saving volunteer service teams from universities in the two areas, and invited guests to visit the Education Center of Guiyang Aha Lake National Wetland Park. It also held a keynote forum on "Water Saving, Ecology and Development", and carried out parent-child activities around "water saving" content.
