On Feb 15, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, announced the assessment results of ambient air quality in all districts and counties in January, with Xifeng county ranking first.
The ranking from high to low of ambient air quality in each district and county are as follows: Xifeng county, the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, the Guiyang Free Trade Zone, Baiyun district, Qingzhen city, Wudang district, Guanshanhu district, Yunyan district, Xiuwen county, Huaxi district, Nanming district, Kaiyang county, the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone, and the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone.
In accordance with the evaluation of air quality standards, the proportion of days of reaching the standard in each district and county in January was between 87.1 percent and 100 percent, and the main pollutant was PM 2.5.
According to the air quality status of the State-controlled site, the rate of days with good ambient air quality in Guiyang in November was 96.8 percent, the number of days of mild and pollution above was one, and the daily average concentration of carbon monoxide did not exceed the standard.
