The 21st Ecological Civilization Lecture Hall was held on Dec 31, 2022, with many environmental enthusiasts attending.

"China has three types of nature reserves: national parks, nature reserves and natural parks, and they are divided into national and local levels," said Liu Yingliang, an expert in ecology at the School of Life Sciences of Guizhou Normal University.

"There are 11 national nature reserves in Guizhou province, the oldest of which is Fanjing Mountain National Nature Reserve, while the Xishui Subtropical Evergreen Broadleaf Forest National Nature Reserve is the largest," Liu added.

In addition, Liu lamented that if there were no nature reserves, rare animals and plants such as golden monkeys, black-necked cranes, and silver cedars could become endangered. Establishing nature reserves and maintaining species diversity helps protect our earth.

After listening to Liu's lecture, environmental enthusiasts expressed the importance of establishing nature reserves and strengthening ecological and environmental protection publicity and education.
