Guiyang bureau promotes harmonious coexistence between humans, nature

According to the idea of "promoting green development and harmonious coexistence between humans and nature" put forward in the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Guiyang bureau of ecology and environment will implement the city's ecological environment protection work.

The bureau will continue to carry out work related to air quality management, water purification, solid waste treatment and rural environment improvement as well as strengthen biodiversity conservation and explore ways to reform biodiversity conservation systems.

The authenticity and integrity of the natural ecosystem will be maintained, the integration, consolidation and optimization of natural reserves in Guiyang will be promoted, and the supervision of ecological protection and restoration of important river basins such as the Qingshui River and Wujiang River will be strengthened.

Additionally, the bureau will actively explore the market trading system of carbon emission rights, participate in global governance to address climate change, and promote the realization of peak carbon emissions and carbon neutralization.

"The bureau will contribute to the building of a beautiful China, the modernization of Guizhou, and the modernization of Guiyang and Guian New Area," said Yang Bo, director of the bureau.
