Guiyang, capital city of the province, ranked fifth among 168 key cities in China in terms of the state of ambient air quality in Southwest China's Guizhou province in the first three quarters of 2022, according to a press conference on Oct 26.
In the first three quarters, the average proportion of days with good air quality in the province's nine prefecture-level cities was 99.2 percent, an increase of 0.6 percentage points year-on-year and 13.5 percentage points higher than the average among the 339 prefecture-level cities at or above the national level, which have reached the national ambient air quality level two standard.
Nine cities in Guizhou were ranked by the air quality comprehensive index, and the ranking was: Duyun, Tongren, Xingyi, Kaili, Liupanshui, Guiyang, Anshun, Bijie and Zunyi.
The average proportion of good days with ambient air quality in 88 county-level cities in the province was 99.3 percent, an increase of 0.6 percentage points year-on-year.
