Guiyang bureau inspects waste treatment, disposal center

A waste treatment and disposal center was recently inspected in Guiyang – capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

Yang Bo, director of the Guiyang bureau of ecology and environment, on Sept 22 led a team to the Guizhou Provincial Hazardous Waste and Guiyang Medical Waste Treatment and Disposal Center.

They went there to supervise the collection, transportation and disposal of medical waste.

Yang inspected how the medical waste was being dealt with during the COVID-19 epidemic and the implementation of self-protection work by the company's personnel.

He also looked at the arrangements made for the company's collection, transportation and disposal of medical waste under the situation of normalized epidemic prevention and controls at a later period.

After the inspection, Yang said that the front-line personnel of the center had ensured the orderly medical waste collection, transportation and disposal of the city. Moreover, they had provided a strong guarantee for Guiyang's epidemic prevention and control work and fully demonstrated corporate social responsibility.
