Guiyang city's air quality ranks 3rd on national list

The city of Guiyang – capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – recently shone in a list released on Sept 20 by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the national ambient air quality in cities throughout the country.

The figures were for the month of August and from January to August, respectively.

In August, the proportion of days with good air quality in 339 cities at the prefecture level and above was 93.2 percent, up 1.5 percentage points year-on-year.

Of the 168 key cities in the country that month, Haikou, Lhasa, Guiyang and other cities had relatively great air quality.

What's more, Guiyang ranked third on the list for August. In addition, it ranked fourth in the same list, for the period of January to August.
