The commissioning ceremony of the Guiyang Municipal Solid Waste Incineration Power Generation (Baiyun) Project was held in Baiyun district, Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Sept 2.
The project mainly treats domestic waste in Yunyan, Guanshanhu, Wudang, and Baiyun districts, as well as Xiuwen county.
The project purifies generated flue gas by incinerating domestic waste and discharges it after meeting national emission standards. Additionally, the leachate is treated with zero discharge so that reclaimed water can be reused, waste residue can be comprehensively utilized, and fly ash can be discharged after harmless treatment.
After the project is put into operation, the waste incineration capacity in Guiyang will increase to 4,700 metric tons per day, and the disposal of domestic waste in Guiyang's urban area will eliminate landfills in favor of incineration.
