Environment benefits Guizhou's economy

The Chinese concept that "green mountains are invaluable assets" has been fully respected in Guizhou. In the past 10 years, the province in Southwest China has embarked on a sustainable development path of ecological industrialization and industrial ecology.

Guizhou is pursuing the development of and benefiting from ecological civilization. Its healthy environment has become the main driver of its development.

The province's environment has continued to improve, and the development of a national ecological civilization pilot zone has continued to move forward. Its forest coverage rate has reached 62.12 percent, the ratio of days with good air quality in cities has exceeded 98 percent, the excellent quality of water in the outbound sections of major rivers has reached 100 percent, and the proportion of the green economy accounts for 45 percent.

Today, Guizhou is working to build a pioneer area for the development of an ecological civilization.
