Guiyang builds information system for ecology management

According to a press conference held by the Guiyang municipal people's government, since 2021, the Guiyang bureau of ecology and environment has relied on big data construction to build an information system for environment management.

Using the provincial environmental mobile law enforcement system, Guiyang's environment mobile law enforcement system has been upgraded to coordinate with various environmental supervision businesses. As of mid-May 2022, more than 16,900 on-site inspections had been carried out through the mobile law enforcement system.

Guiyang uses the automatic monitoring of pollution sources to realize off-site law enforcement supervision. At present, there are 231 pollution source units in the city that have installed with automatic monitoring equipment and are connected to the network, with a total of more than 4,000 sets of various automatic monitoring equipment. Since 2021, the bureau has filed and investigated 22 environmental violation cases based on the data clues pushed by the automatic monitoring platform.

The city also uses the business supervision system to expand the scope of law enforcement and supervision of motor vehicle emissions, safe disposal of medical waste, and centralized drinking water sources.

In addition, the bureau has greatly improved the efficiency of law enforcement supervision by configuring law enforcement supervision drones, law enforcement recorders, underwater robots, hand-held thermal imaging cameras, and other equipment.
