The "environmental protection quest" activity themed around water control was recently held in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
It is a sub-activity of the "exploring green mysteries" volunteer service activity organized by the Guiyang bureau of ecology and environment.
It features a number of publicity activities with distinct themes. Volunteers will be encouraged to participate in ecological and environmental protection.
On April 24, more than 30 volunteers from the Guiyang Environmental Publicity and Education Center, Guiyang Ecological Science Museum, Guiyang Daily Media Group, and other units visited the Liuguangmen Water Reclamation Plant to explore the regeneration journey of water resources.
"The Liuguangmen Reclaimed Water Plant is not only the deepest fully buried water plant in China, but also the country's first reclaimed water plant combined with a commercial complex," said a person in charge of the water plant. After listening to his introduction, volunteers learned how to tell the difference between the water in the water inlet and the water in the water outlet by both color and smell.
Next, the bureau will carry out various publicity activities, calling on more volunteers to protect the environment.
