The atmosphere office of the Guiyang bureau of ecology and environment completed the assessment of the air quality in February in the districts, cities, counties and two development zones under the jurisdiction of Guiyang – capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The assessment rankings were announced on March 14.
According to the assessment, the specific rankings were in order: Nanming district, Baiyun district, Guanshanhu district, Wudang district, Kaiyang county, Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Qingzhen city, Guiyang Economic & Technology Development Zone, Xiuwen county, Yunyan district, Huaxi district, and Xifeng county.
In February this year, the proportion of days with the air quality reaching the standard (the excellent rate) in all districts, cities, counties, and development zones in Guiyang was between 96.3 percent and 100 percent, and the primary pollutant was the fine particulate matter PM2.5.
The air quality composite index in the month ranged between 2.13 and 2.98.
