Guiyang focuses on national river improvement

An investigation team from the Guiyang bureau of ecological and environment went to Xiuwen county of Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, for a field research on Feb 17.

The team mainly investigated the rectification level of related issues in the Zhenzhu River basin, such as Xiuwen county's Zhazuo town's large urban population and some sewage mismanagement.

During the investigation process, the team emphasized that the relevant departments of Xiuwen county should identify the root cause of the problem and further improve the current rectification plan to ensure that the problem would be effectively solved.

The team requested that the relevant departments and sub-districts of the county should conduct a comprehensive investigation on the construction of sewage pipelines in the river basin and the access of domestic sewage to the pipeline network.

At the same time according to the investigation team, it is necessary to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the rain and sewage diversion pipelines in the river basin, to verify the actual amount of sewage generated and to further improve the rectification plan.

In addition, it is necessary to scientifically demonstrate the feasibility and necessity of a sewage pipeline network under construction and the proposed second phase of the sewage treatment plant expansion project.

Going forward, the relevant departments will ensure the comprehensive improvement of the environment of the river basin, and at the same time do a good job in the treatment of river slopes.
