Guiyang reports January air quality result

Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently completed the evaluation of air quality of its districts, county-level cities, counties, and development zones for January – with good and excellent rates averaging above the 90 percent level.

According to the results, the best air quality – ranked from top to bottom – was in the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone, Kaiyang county, Wudang district, Guanshanhu district, Qingzhen county-level city, Nanming district, Xiuwen county, Baiyun district, Yunyan district, the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone, Huaxi district and Xifeng county.

Among these areas, the good and excellent rates were between 93.5 percent and 100 percent, the primary pollutant was PM2.5 and the air quality composite indexes were between 1.96 and 3.23.
