In order to effectively control water pollution and improve the quality of local river water, Xiuwen county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, launched the third phase of construction work on the county's sewage treatment plant in April.
With a total investment of 47.74 million yuan ($7.49 million), the project will build a secondary sewage treatment process production line with the capacity to process 10,000 cubic meters per day. The project will also feature two oxidation ditches, sludge pump rooms, blower rooms and other auxiliary buildings.
It is expected that the construction of the main civil structure will be completed before Dec 30, with equipment installed by Jan 30, 2022, and commissioned by March 30, 2022.
Once phase three of the project is completed, the daily sewage treatment capacity of the plant will increase from the original 10,000 metric tons to 20,000, greatly improving sanitation in the county.
