News from Qingzhen's agriculture and rural affairs office on Oct 28 suggested that a pesticide package recycle system has taken shape in the city, with 353 recycling sites established, covering 181 administrative villages.
An overall work plan on the pesticide package recycle issued this year by Qingzhen's bureau of agriculture and rural affairs, bureau of comprehensive urban management and law enforcement, and bureau of finance urged the city to reduce agricultural pollution, improve the ecosystem in rural areas, and offer a safe and healthy natural environment for rural revitalization.
In response to the document, Qingzhen has carried out 44 promotional trainings for more than 2,200 people, and handed out over 5,000 files for the recycling movement.
"The handling and recycling of pesticide packages should be led by the city's major agricultural operators, crops growers and poultry farmers," said Li Hongmei, an official at Qingzhen's planting service center.
