Guiyang city – the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – recently released its air quality report for August, showing that Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone ranked first for its top air quality, while Xiuwen county came in last.
The ranking of Guiyang's districts, county-level cities and counties – from top to bottom – is Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone, Kaiyang county, Yunyan district, Wudang district, Nanming district, Huaxi district, Guanshanhu district, Qingzhen county-level city, Xifeng county, Baiyun district, the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone and Xiuwen county.
In August, the level of Guiyang's days which met the prescribed air quality level was between 96.7 percent and 100 percent. The primary pollutant was reportedly ozone, while the comprehensive index reading of ambient air quality came in at between 1.78 and 2.62.
Since 2021, the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone has ranked first in Guiyang's good air quality rankings several times.
The zone has reportedly attached great importance to the prevention and control of atmospheric dust, through the strict supervision of manufacturers, construction sites and trucks.
