Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, released its air quality assessment report for July on Aug 16.
According to the report, Guiyang's Yunyan district ranked first with a total score of 91.13 points, followed by Kaiyang county, Nanming district, Huaxi district, Wudang district, Guanshanhu district, Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone, Qingzhen city, Xifeng county, Baiyun district, Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone, and Xiuwen county.
In July, the rate of good air quality days among all districts, cities, and counties was between 96.8 percent and 100 percent. The primary pollutant was ozone, and the comprehensive index of ambient air quality was between 1.78 and 2.50.
Guiyang's rate of reaching national air quality standards was 100 percent in July. The monthly average concentration of sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, particulate matter 10, and particulate matter 2.5 was 6 micrograms per cubic meter, 17 mcg per cu m, 31 mcg per cu m and 14 mcg per cu m, respectively.
