In recent years, Baiyun district has attached great importance to water environment treatment and created a comfortable and beautiful living environment for the people.

Baiyun carries out treatment of the entire basin in its jurisdiction by building sewage treatment facilities and supporting pipe networks, flood control and sewage interception projects, wetlands, and ecological landscape projects.

The Qicai Lake Reclaimed Water Plant is a typical example of water environment management in Baiyun.

It can not only effectively recycle sewage and provide additional sustainable water resources to meet growing urban water demands, but also create land resources and green energy conversion and reduce financial expenditures.

The water plant has a processing scale of 20,000 square meters per day and a service area of approximately 48,000 square kilometers. It mainly serves around 94,000 people in the district's Jicang, Baiyun, and Gongjiazhai villages.

The water plant can currently provide around 7 million cubic meters of high-quality reclaimed water to Qicai Lake every year, ensuring the long-term cleanliness of the lake water in the Qicai Lake Park.
