Guiyang bureau of ecology and environment – in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – organized a meeting on April 12 to review its ecological and environmental protection plans for the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25).
Experts from the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Environmental Planning were invited to examine the plans online – while provincial experts from the Guizhou Environmental Science Research and Design Institute, Guizhou University and the Guizhou Institute of Technology conducted appraisals on-site.
At the meeting, the experts examined the relevant reports and backed the plans for their solid foundation, accurate technical aspects, clear goals, reasonable tasks and down-to-earth solutions.
The plans now proceed to the review stage and relevant government departments need to make any final amendments promptly.
The blueprint is expected to play a great role in guiding the ecological and environmental protection of Guiyang and Guian New Area in the following five years.
