Guiyang bureaus team up to combat soil pollution

Guiyang's bureau of ecology and environment, together with Guiyang's municipal bureau of planning and natural resources, took initiatives to prevent and control soil pollution on Nov 3.

The bureaus aim to further implement various laws and regulations on soil protection, such as the prevention and control of soil pollution action plan and soil pollution prevention and control law.

Meanwhile, land-use safety requirements, relevant law-oriented assessments and pollutant information sharing procedures were highlighted. The bureau also discussed the steps required to attain permission for a construction or development project.

Both bureaus will strengthen their management of local soil resources and identify the necessary steps to ensure that soil pollution prevention measures meet the national and provincial standards.
