Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone, in Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou province, was ranked first in the province for air quality in June this year, according to rankings released by Guiyang bureau of ecology and environment.
The economic zone was followed in the rankings by Xiuwen county, Qingzhen county, Baiyun district and Kaiyang county. The ratio of days meeting national standards in Guiyang was rated at 100 percent over the previous month.
The three major air pollutants in the city were PM 10 (particulate matter with a diameter less than or equal to 10 micrometers), PM 2.5 (particulate matter with a diameter less than or equal to 2.5 micrometers) and ozone, found respectively in Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone, Wudang district, other districts and counties, according to China's Ambient Air Quality Standard.
