Responsibilities:

To supervision and manage solid waste, chemicals, heavy metal and hazardous wastes as well as nuclear safety, radiation safety and radiation environmental protection; to take charge of emergency work for nuclear and radiation environmental accidents; to oversee and manage the design, manufacture, installation and nondestructive testing of civil nuclear safety equipment; to be responsible for the safety of radioactive sources, radioactive waste and electromagnetic radiation, application of nuclear technology; to supervise and manage radioactive pollution prevention and control in the development and utilization of associated radioactive mineral resources; to guide supervision and management of the comprehensive utilization of industrial solid waste and energy conservation and to eliminate backward production capacity.
